Debbie wins Most Popular Actress at the Golden Awards 金视奖
Congratulations to Debbie Goh for winning Most Popular Actress at the Golden Awards organized by NTV7 on the 25th Sept.
We've known Debbie when she won the Miss Malaysia Chinese International crown in the late 90's and we've been a part of her journey pondering her career direction striking out into the entertainment industry, participating in her achievements, understanding her struggles to make it in the local industry before she ventured to Hong Kong as an actress and TV host.
We know how hard she's worked in Hong Kong and China, the obstacle she's faced and how strong she has been to overcome all of it and still keep motivated. Her professionalism and maturity inspires us to keep our dreams alive.
Coming back to Malaysia to act 2 years ago was a very personal & emotional moment for her as she really wanted to do something for the Malaysian industry.
Ironically, she had never had a long-standing career in Malaysia, partly due to the slow & lukewarm response the Malaysian public had towards local Chinese productions. But thanks to NTV7's big step to start investing in Malaysian-made Chinese dramas in 2007, Debbie's had her chance again to prove that Malaysia Boleh!
She's attracted so many new fans, and has gotten great satisfaction acting in different TV drama roles and is now shooting a Malaysian Chinese movie.
Congratulations, Debbie, we are proud of you for winning Most Popular Actress at the Golden Awards !

Debbie Goh nominated for Best Actress in the 1st Golden Awards
After several years' experience hosting and acting in Hong Kong and China, Debbie felt the urge to come back to her homeland Malaysia to act in Malaysia's Chinese dramas.
Debbie has gotten great leading roles and has become one of Malaysia's leading Chinese actresses with lots of new fans.
The upcoming Golden Awards sees Debbie nominated for a Best Actress award for her acting in Age of Glory, a drama set in the 50's - 60's era in which she plays a simple village girl who is lured to the big city to become a nightclub performer.Debbie has gotten great leading roles and has become one of Malaysia's leading Chinese actresses with lots of new fans.
What a challenging role. Debbie looks convincing either as a teenage village girl without makeup or a heavily-made up sexy dancer.
Watch out for 25th Sept 2010 at 8pm, the awards will be held "live" from the PICC, Putrajaya. Vote for her online at http://www.ntv7.com.my/ orsms GAF3 to 33399.

Coming soon...something for the girlzzzzzz
Girlz II Women on www.xuan.com.my
We've been working on this idea for several months. The idea for this show started 10years ago, but unfortunately, we didn't have enough support from the higher-ups at that time.
We found out that ideas can grow and come true -- even if it's not in the original form we originally thought of.
So we tried again when the urge came.
We finally found the resources and support from great talent and friends to film something for you.
Stay tuned...
